Nota buat si isteri

Aku hanya seorang suami
yang menerima setulus hati seorang isteri.

Janji yang termeterai di musim yang lalu.
Salam ku hulur buat menyapa hatimu nan luhur.

Bersamalah kita harungi derita yang datang.
Bersatulah kita tempuhi nikmat yang bertandang.
Denai perkahwinan pasti dihujani air mata.
Biar kita rasa: Rupanya kebahagiaan rumah tangga itu sangat tinggi maharnya.

Isteri ku sayang…
Tidak abang tagihkan setiamu, sesetia Hawa kepada Adam.
Atau kerinduan menggila Laila yang sangat dalam.

Cuma terimalah kehadiranku seadanya

Saudara Luqman,

Thank you for forwarding the provoking e-mail.

I must begin by saying that your Saudi brother has lost his sense of logic
and wise direction, perhaps due to his sectarian mindset and Wahhabis
brainwashing, may ALlah guide him.

The issue here is not between the Sunni-Shiite, but between Israel-Lebanon. This is the first premise. Ask your Saudi brother, in the present conflict which party that he sides with? His answer should fall in at least one of the three options below:

[1] If he abstains, then surely he is not a true mu'min. A mu'min cannot be
impartial seeing his brothers being slaughtered day in day out without doing
anything. He should take side because this is evil (munkar) act!, condemn
the aggression at least, no matter initiated by who Israel or whoever;

or
[2] Supports Israel? then, that is ridiculous!

or

[3] Supports whatever party fighting and defending the Lebanese, the Muslim
land and our brothers.

In this case whether "the defenders" are Muslims or non-Muslims is a
non-issue. It so happened in this case, they are the Shi'ite Hezbollah and
not the Saudi Wahhabis.! (Saudis have privatised defending their land to the
Americans, by the way)

Had they been the Christian French or the Buddhist Chinese or the Hindu
Indians defending Lebanon, then we would still have to support them.
Supporting them not because of their religion or theological belief, but
for the "cause" they are fighting for i,e. against Israeli incursion. The
issue here is not religion but aggression and incursion of one country on
the other.

It is preposterous for certain bigoted Muslims who still cannot see the
issue from this perpective, but instead insistently confining themselves
within their 'shallow mentality' and 'sectarian mindset' when Big Brother
George Galloway of Glasgow could easily see the simple logic and all out
valiantly and openly support Hezbollah against Israel,
(http://bloggingbeir ut.com/exit. php?url_id= 1787&entry_ id=613[1]) while he
himself is not a Muslim yet.

No Muslims (or even non-Muslims, for that matter) support Hezbollah because
of its name to mean "Party of ALlah". On the contrary many non-Arabs do not
even know what "Hezbollah" really mean. No matter what the group's name is,
even if Hizb Syaithan (Party of Setan), supporting the right cause, and
against invasion of a Muslim land is still mandatory for any Muslim.

As for the Sunni-Shi'ite theological debates on Shi'ites' anti-Muawiyyah and
anti-Sahabah, Muta'ah, Imamah etc., this is not the time to argue. This is
war time and saving people's lives is utmost priority over everything else.

Finally, put it this way: even if Hezbollah people are heretic, deviant or
even kafir and what not.. and Israelis are evil and kafir too, which one
is the lesser evil (akhaffu darurain)?

Wallahu 'alam

Rindunya pada anakanda...

Another summer day
Is come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home

Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh I miss you, you know

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two “I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aerorplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go homeMmmm,
I’ve got to go home
Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
But this was not your dream
But you always believe in me
Another winter day has come
And gone away
And even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I’m surrounded byA million people I
Still feel alone
Oh, let go home
Oh, I miss you, you know
Let me go home

I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all right
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home
